Several controversies were cast upon it following its release, mostly due to its historical inaccuracies. Eventually, Bajirao came to know of Mastani and desired to marry her. When Mastani and Bajirao first laid eyes on each other, they were both smitten. The two fell in love almost instantly. After some back and forth of mutual acceptance, the couple agreed to marry each other. However, upon his insistence, Kashibai agree to their match after consulting her friend Kashibai's friend Leelawati who agreed that Mastani's different state residence won't be a problem for them as long as she is happy with him. The marriage ceremony went off without a hitch and Bajirao and Mastani spent the next few days together. At this point in time, Baji Rao II (Ranveer Singh) was also in love with Mastani but wanted her to marry his own son Dhanaji (who later turns out to be a heartless man who is extremely jealous of Bajirao and Maata's affection for each other. Maata's father agrees to the marriage between Dhanaji and Mastani on one condition: It had to be done before Mastani marries another prince. Seeing how unhappy he was, Kashibai wished for his happiness. cfa1e77820
